The ATEX centrifugal blowers of the ELF series are mainly used in the chemical industry, petrochemistry, in laboratories and in paint shops or wherever the conveyed medium, the ambient medium or the process contains flammable or explosive gases, vapours, mists or dusts. They are designed for mounting on the duct of the air inlet or outlet of the ventilation system. These radial fans are manufactured according to ISO 9001 and PN-EN 13980.
The design is based on the European ATEX product directive. Accordingly, this series meets the requirements of group II (category 2G/3G – 1st and/or 2nd zone as well as category 2D – 21st and/or 22nd zone as well as category 2G/D). In addition, our fans have a CE marking.
The ELF fans are designed for a temperature range of the pumped medium from -20°C to +60°C. Extended temperature ranges are available on request.
The fans of the EGM series have either an impeller made of aluminium or sheet steel (welded, powder-coated). All impellers are balanced according to the ISO1940-1 standard. The casing is made of sheet steel (with a polyester powder coating) in the standard version or of stainless steel in the SSI version. The frame (standard from size 160) is made of welded steel and has an earthing clamp. The impeller has curved blades of type F and is made of sheet steel (or stainless steel in the SSI version), welded and balanced according to ISO 1940 class G2.5.
The casing and the frame are supplied in black (RAL 9005) as standard. Other finishes or colours are also available on request.
To minimise the risk of sparking, individual elements are made of sheet brass.
In the standard version, these fans are equipped with 230/400V or 400V (50Hz) three-phase electric motors. They are intended for continuous operation in potentially explosive atmospheres, whereby the motor ambient temperature should be between -20°C and +40°C. Motors with a different temperature class or degree of protection are available on request. The motors are supplied with PTC thermistor sensors.
PLEASE NOTE
The installation of the unit must be carried out under the directive 99/92/EC (“ATEX USERS”) and includes specifications regarding occupational safety and health of the employees.
The application of our 2D fans must be carried out under the condition of vibration isolators and a vibration monitoring system. We also recommend the use of ventilation flaps. We will be happy to advise you in this regard.
